8888

August 8 has yet again arrived. We would pray for the fallen heroes. Burma itself would hope the military rule be ended soon. The world would watch Burma on this very day.

But the world should know lives were not lost only on this day. Even though 8888 was the most notable day during the 1988 uprising, there were many other days when guns were fired.

If you are reading this, please bear in mind that thousands of innocent lives were killed on this day 19 years ago as well as countless other days throughout the country.

Be understood that the army shot people neither to protect themselves nor to protect the government properties. They shot simply to kill as many as they can. They regarded innocent unarmed civilians as shooting toys. Anyone who witnessed these shootings as well as anyone who happened to watch some of the rare video shoot of 88 uprising would agree my statement. After all, I’ve witnessed these shootings for months. I’ve run for my lives from the bullets for many times. If you think I’m lying, browse the net and watched the video clips available on youtude and metacafe.

WE WILL NEVER FORGET. WE WILL NEVER FORGIVE.
