In memory of 7 July

On 7 July 1962, the Burmese military, which claimed to have saved the country in almost bloodless coup barely four months ago, opened fire the unarmed Rangoon University Students who were staging protests against the military rule. Many were killed. Wounded students were evacuated in the Students Union Building along with hundreds others. The next morning (8th July, 6am), the military Blew up the Union building killing all inside.

It has been 45 years since that incident. But the blood of our brothers and sisters are still dropping.

May we bring justice… for them, for us, for Burma.

We fly the peacock flag half pole.
